DIARMUID KELLEY

b. 1972, Scotland

Diarmuid Kelley was born in Scotland in 1972. He trained at the University of Newcastle and Chelsea School of Art, then The Prince's Drawing School. He shows regularly in London and has won numerous prizes, (including the NatWest Prize and runner up in the BP Portrait Award). In his still lives and portraits he works towards capturing the atmosphere that surrounds a subject - locating that moment in static natural light with a quality of palpable realism that can only be achieved from life.

Diarmuid Kelley is represented by Offer Waterman.
