Jaemi Hardy was born in Canada in 1972. He studied painting at the Grant MacEwan College, Alberta then moved to the UK to complete two years at The Prince's Drawing School. He has exhibited at the BP Portrait Award, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Painter Stainers exhibition as well as group shows in Canada, America and London. Jaemi's paintings are
often intimate observations of close friends and his immediate surroundings, the paintings are made slowly, with parts frequently obliterated and repainted resulting in a delicate and sometimes elusive image.
